I've been visiting 4chan since 2007 yet I've never understood the appeal of weeb games. Why do people prefer it to western gaming for example? Are many of you folks asian? Or is there just something special about Japanese game design?

Just like everything, some are good and some are bad.
But some people just hated the art style in general I guess.

Japanese games are usually less buggy and have tighter controls/better programming. They are also better at 2D gaming centric genres like fighters and arcade games.
Otherwise they mostly suck though.

And weeb games usually referring to the art style, not the actual design. Shadow of the Colossus came from japan, with great design and no weeb art styles.
Thuogh there're some good weeb games if you wanted one. Probably Recettear or The Legend of Heroes: Trails in the Sky

I don't like most weeb games. Most are just fan service garbage with shit gameplay. If the game actually has good gameplay i'll play it but those are few and far these days. The nep games are the biggest offender, just pure shit in every aspect. They could have been good but they just went for the lowest and pandered to weebs damn shame.
