I feel like there's something bigger on this. I'm still in the middle of the series but there is no proof at all that he did it. The boy's also dumb as fuck, I there's a mastermind on this who chose him on purpose.
>>323134190
Hockey really is the sport of kings.
>>323134061
Stop shilling that retarded shit. They're not after the truth, they're out making money, like Supersize me and other bullshit "documentaries"
They don't even mention that Avery tortured and killed his pet, rammed his cousin off the road and threatened to kill her, or his earlier stint in the jail over robbery. Because that might make him not such an angel after all.

I entirely expected a shitton of other dudes to slide into the goalie post.

>>323134212
I think what OP was getting at is it was a big twist moment and "Directed by Hideo Kojima" implies crazy twists and shit. "Directed by M. Night Shylaman" would probably have been better.
>>323134297
They do, though. In the very first episode.
>>323134297
They literally mention all of that in the first episode. It doesn't matter if Steven is guilty or not. That is not the purpose of the documentary. The purpose of the documentary is to highlight how corrupt the trial was and how Steven's right to a fair trial was completely violated.
>>323134353
no it wouldn't, because then it wouldn't be video games

Whether he did it or not is beside the point.
The justice system, the cops, and the media behaved so unethically that we'll never find out the truth. They were corrupt as fuck in their quest to make sure he was convicted.
>yfw the patriots were behind the whole thing

OC nioggas
>>323134839
This shitshow made thousands of people sympathetic to Avery. And they're now all crying for him to be released.
So if he did it or not, actually matters a lot because if he did, then this doc only made things worse for justice.
>>323135230
It didn't make anything worse for justice. A bunch of people crying doesn't mean anything. Public opinion means very little. The only way he will get out is if new evidence comes to light.
Its pretty baffling you consider a swayed public opinion to be "worse for justice" than exposing corrupt police officers actively planting evidence in a case and a man's constitutional right to a fair and just trial being violated.
>>323134061

I'm not OP, his joke was pretty bad.
>>323135430
>you consider a swayed public opinion
I do consider it a negative when it's swayed by a biased "documentary", just like when public opinion was swayed on Supersize Me despite the fact that the documentary holds no facts and was later disproven.
The general public doesn't bother to see if something is biased or true. If it's called a documentary, they will take everything as fact. Especially something so emotional as supposed injustice. I don't think most people get that it's about corruption on a whole, not about the supposedly innocent victim of police corruption.
>>323133853
>Krovonov tries hockey
Check this shit out my faggots
>>323135230
> So if he did it or not, actually matters a lot because if he did, then this doc only made things worse for justice.
You're retarded and don't understand the basis of the American justice system. Justice would be if he was convinced based on evidence and a narrative that adds up to cause the jury to believe he committed the crime beyond a shadow of a doubt. Justice isn't "The cops are pretty sure he did it but fucked with the crime scene, planted evidence, and invented a ridiculous and blatantly false narrative with his mentally challenged nephew in order to convince them".
He might not be innocent, but he certainly shouldn't be in jail. His trial was a complete failure of the justice system. Anyone could have been convinced of that crime from their efforts.
>>323135735
a "negative" is not what you originally said. You said it was "worse for justice". A biased documentary is not "worse of justice". The people watching have no power or jurisdiction over justice.

I'm not crying for him to be released, but holy shit does he need to get another trial because the one he got was a complete and utter shitshow. This time with a different judge and a jury that has nothing to do with manitowoc county. Let the evidence speak for itself and for the love of god don't let manitowoc county sheriff's department anywhere near the new trial.

Are you arguing that the key was not planted?
>>323136384
>>323136440
I've yet to see any actual evidence that it was. I don't trust cops, but i'm not gonna jump on the popular boat where cops were behind everything until actual facts come.
I've seen people say the cops killed the lady. They also say cops planted all the evidence. Is it true?
>>323136628
That's hilarious. They found it in the middle of the room on the 7th check of the house with none of the owner's DNA on it, only his.

Are you sure you watched the documentary? Maybe you have a bad memory, let me remind you.
>The key was found 4 months after the initial search, on the 7th search, lying in plain sight next to the bookcase.
>The key had Steven Avery's DNA, but none of Teresa Halbach's DNA.

Unlike apparently the majority of people, I don't know what their police proceedures are, nor can i verify whenever or not it's a legit evidence without a third party of investigators. I'm just gonna remain sceptical to any claim cops make, but more so to the documentary. I feel that the claimant needs to provide conclusive evidence first.
There's too many documentaries that has an agenda and will extaggerate, twist or outright lie about key points. Maybe this isn't one of them, but i'll be cautious.

You live a charmed life.
>>323137741
Right, because this court and the police officer did so many things properly.
>Colburn knows about the Rav 4 2 days before Teresa went missing
>Colburn neglects to report the phone call from the detective saying they had the wrong guy
>Colburn writes the report on the phonecall the day after Steven was released
>Detective Fassbender tell the DNA Analyst to "put her in the bed or garage"
>Fassbender and Wieber blatantly coerce multiple contradictory confessions out of Brendan WITHOUT permission from his parent or a lawyer present
>Len Kachinsky is working for the prosecution instead of his client Brendan
>Len Kachinsky hires a guy that forces Brandon to choose from "I'm sorry I did it" or "I'm not sorry I did it"
>said guy writes in an email he thinks the Avery's are devils and evil incarnate (keep in mind this is Branden's defense team)
>Manitowoc county says they will only provide equipment to the search
>judge dismisses Len Kachinsky for allowing Brendan to be interviewed without a lawyer, yet allows the coerced interview to be used in the trial
>two of the jurors on the jury are directly related to Manitowoc County Sheriff's Department
