Miracle Mask was the worst one. It was ridiculously predictable. At least Azran Legacy felt grand and adventurous despite it mainly being filler and the finale coming out of nowhere too fast.

No, I was glad for once the Professor didn't have to infodump what the fuck was going on for once. I'm glad there wasn't a HUEG twist at the end and I'm glad there was a sad tearjerker ending for once. The whole thing was a Count of Monte Cristo parody and Monte d'Or was a great location.

Layton's family reveals didn't help at all, they felt cheap and innecessary,Bear in mind, I'm leaving the golems alone because the very first game had robots, I thought it was kinda neat that the twist of Curious village meant that some nobody in the woods replicated the Azran's miracle technology from scratch.
The prequel trilogy shouldn't have aimed for so much spectacle to begin with imo.
