Pic related my nomination. The first game where they took out stopping power so you could finally use other perks in slot 2

Despite the maps being pretty weak, it was a really good cod

WaW is one of my fave shooters ever.

Gewehr 43 with telescopic sight was great, that trigger spam. Bolt actions were fun to use on hardcore since it was a 1 shot kill.

Blops1 completely fucked sniping, making it randomized all the way through even scoping in (and a little after).
The maps were 10% of the design of CoD 4 maps.
And the sniping had some tremendous amount of unnecessary latency.. something like 100ms+ on top of ping, which is even worse if the match is on consoles (without dedicated servers).
A lot of potential, but this is a lot of the baseline gameplay and thus a lot of reduction to its actual play.

CoD 4 > BO > CoD 2 > WaW > MW 2 > BO 2 > CoD > MW 3 > Ghosts
