It was on sale for $7.50 the last two weeks on the Steam sale. It's great though, definitely worth $10

DONT BUY THE DEFINITIVE EDITION
Full of overpowered DLCs, you will be bored in two hours because you can kill anything and you will have fancy vehicles since the beggining.
dlcs about that tournament island or fight styles are fine
>>322804487
I think it's worth it if you've never played it before, I really enjoyed it.
on another note, should I pull the trigger and get MGSV right now?
>>322804978
Don't believe this guy - the newest version on Steam has fixed this, so you no longer automatically get a shitton of XP and dosh with your first apartment. Instead, they're random pickups around the city.
Definitely worth it, especially if you speak Cantonese - lots of hidden language bonuses, but humour only, nothing like secret stashes or story-relevant information.
>>322804487
It's a lot fun, actually. The fighting system is pretty good, I really liked it. Definitely worth that price.

If you're going to do it, you should do it soon, before the online community dies.
>mfw wearing the Police costume while visiting Uncle Po
WEI SHEN MOTHERFUCKER! WHO YOU?
>>322805361
>Triad and Cop XP packages aren't automatically given anymore
Yup. Seems like people are talking about last year's editions, not what Steam's offering right now.
>>322804487
Very good game. Combat is fun as fuck, its like arkham, except you dont automatically home in on every enemy within 10 miles with a fucking triple backflip karate kick.
>>322805361
>especially if you speak Cantonese
who the fuck can
>>322804487
Playing it right now, a lot of fun, underrated game
>>322804487
The dlc costumes that are included in the PC version are so good. Flying roundhouse kicks to the face are far more satisfying when dressed like Jackie Chan from Rumble in the Bronx.
Great game.
Fantastic unarmed combat; best karate simulator out there.
Great soundtrack.
Wonky driving, but good cars and with some good mechanics (drifting, side ramming, etc)
Jackie did nothing wrong.
You can sing Flock of Seagull's "I Ran" in a karaoke bar in a white, blood covered suit and sunglasses.
It has Lucy Liu.
Buy it.

I can. Hong Kong born and raised, baby. If you didn't grow up in an international city and learn at least two languages from birth, you're missing out on a shitton of vidya.
>>322806160
>he doesn't speak Cantonese
>>322806608
>tfw took Latin in high school
>tfw closest language I have to a second language is Latin
>tfw this helps me in no way when playing vidya
Me ergo positum est errare.
>>322806608
I can learn 5 more languages in the same time I would learn chinese :(
>>322804978
>Full of overpowered DLCs
This is bullshit. You don't receive the DLCs instantly like in the original. They're part of the game now, so you have to do side-missions to earn each of them.
The overpowered costumes have to bought on the legendary seller for 200k each, so you can play the entire game without them.
The cop cars are awarded after you complete some police enforcer missions.
>>322804978
you cant buy vanilla any more anyway

>Don't believe this guy - the newest version on Steam has fixed this, so you no longer automatically get a shitton of XP and dosh with your first apartment. Instead, they're random pickups around the city.
That's good. That shit was the secod worst thing when I tried to replay Sleeping Dogs with the definite edition.
The actual worst thing was that going fast crashed my computer.
Stopped playing because of that.
>>322810117
Why shows why the devs are stupid.
Vanilla Sleeping Dogs has higher quality bump mapping in more areas than in the Definitive edition.
>>322807256
Learning language as baby/child is different than learning language as adult.
Human brains are made out of magic and how they handle language is the blackest magic of them all.
>>322804487
Yes, worth it.
