He's not as Kawaii as Hikari-chan.
I liked him before Revengeance. In Revengeance they undid a lot of his character growth (same w/ 4). I still "like" him in Revengeance, but more as a caricature and less as a character.

Because Quinton Flynn made him sound like a whinging, whiny, annoying faggot when Kojima actually intended raiden to sound very similar to solid snake. You were even supposed to think raiden was solid just from his voice before he took the diving mask off. The character concept was a young man that acted, thought, and spoke like an older man. If Akio is the japanese mel gibson, then the raiden was supposed to be the japanese brad pitt, but the people casting and directing the english version fucked it all up.
