Dead Space 2 has some amazing set pieces, the controls are tight, the weapons are balanced and it looks a hell of a lot better than the original, but it feels like a generic shooter more often than not. I like them both equally.

It managed to scare me at first, but by halfway through you have high-tech power armor, you instinctively stomp on people playing dead, and you're familiar with the type of vent that everything is fond of jumping out of.
