It doesn't have any issues besides being locked at 30 fps, which is kind of forgivable for how old of a game it is. It even has slightly improved textures I think. Has built in AA, supports any resolution, and you can actually control the camera with a second analog stick. Wish they'd give JSRF the same treatment.

This game makes me sad that new games are so fucking formulaic now, where developers care more about solely making money, instead of being daring enough to make novel games, like Sega did with this, Shenmue (at the time was very unique), and Seaman. I guess that's a big reason why they went under, and it's goddamn unfortunate.

Space channel 5 is a rhythm game where it's basically simon says with 6 buttons. It's more story driven then most rhythm games and it does it really well. It's short sweet and incredibly hype. Space Michael Jackson.
Space Channel 5 part two is better then the first. You don't need to play the first to get the story and I'm pretty sure only part 2 is on steam. It's really good I suggest you try it if you don't hate rhythm games.

I think it was a typo somewhere in the files. There's instructions on PCGamingWiki on how to fix it with hex editing if you get the issue. It's not deleting your save I'm pretty sure, it's just not loading it because of the typo. All your saves are still probably there.

JSR is like... you either do your combos perfect or you'll mess up the whole thing. It's incredibly unforgiving due to camera angles/etc

I bought an Xbox and Future after having wanted to play it for forever and honestly I'm not impressed. Maybe it's because I'm playing it on a console but while it's not bad it's not so much better than JSR like people seem to claim. And while JSRF is capped at 60 fps rather than 30 fps, there's quite a bit of times where it's lower than 30 fps.
