Knowing those cunts, they probably made the pol ambiguous enough to consider characters like older Lara Croft, Bayonetta, Kasumi and so on "non-sexist" and then just acted as if "boys" are against said characters.
Of course people who play video games are going to be annoyed with women. As soon as one of them shows up online the whole server either goes into "ey bitch, suck muh dick" mode or "you're a wonderful godess, want some free stuff?" mode. It's easier to just play without them than having everyone act like a monkey for their attention
I think I've just realized that this industry is constantly knee-jerk reacting to it's own knee-jerk reactions.

The sad thing is no science/political fiction book could have ever predicted we would come to an age where THE PEOPLE would demand censorship and how far it would actually go. It makes me go ballistic when people can't grasp what's wrong about this and what will happen if it grows out of its training wheels.
there is a difference between no strong female characters, sexualized and sexist. a game that I would consider sexist would be Ride to Hell: Redemption and fucking noone played that game except to enjoy how terrible it was.
games like DOA don't fucking count as sexist because they are obviously portraying a fantasy and would only influence the mind of someone truly deluded.
I've been throwing this around and maybe I'm stupid but here goes.
everything in a video game is a goal because it is a game. every player will seek out to conquer a character that they like whether it's a male or female gay or straight player. most human beings can understand when shit isn't real and therefore treat characters in vidya more like objects because that's what they are.
It's like bowling. you knock shit down because you understand that the limited destruction bowling offers exists within the parameters of "the game". you wouldn't go to someones house knocking shit down for points because thats what works in bowling.
