It's a kind of mix between Minecraft and DayZ, So it's a survival crafting game. It's an Early Access so it's pretty buggy and not all that optimized, but they're working on it and it has regular updates. It's reallyfunwithfriends.
You start out naked, you pick some grass, some branches, make a stone axe and start from there.

It's been out for about 2 years. It's been getting a steady stream of content for a while. I think it's one of the better Early Access you can get. They've just implemented better physics and ragdolls plus a host of other features, but it broke some other areas of the game pretty badly.
Building is kinda fucked at the moment. Each kind of material has a structural integrity rating, so you can only build so far without having to use pillars or supporting walls, but it's still kind of wonky and blocks will fall out from under your feet and you could swear it was well supported. There are some workarounds, though.
Also, Zombies, lots of zombies. They'll actively attack your structures, so you have to build defenses to stop them from coming through. It can get hectic when the blood moon comes. One of the few zombie game where you actually feel like they are trying to break in.

Yeah, Early Access survival games can get quite expensive. Sorry you can't buy it. A few years ago, when my friend was trying to convince me to buy the game, I swore I wouldn't buy it because of the price. Got it on sale and I'm glad I did.
