Just standing still in the desert and enjoying the atmosphere in the game, I loved it.

There won't be a sequel to Red Dead Redemption. The story is over. If a next RDR game comes it will be Red Dead R(something).

Red Dead Revengeance
I hope we go back to an earlier point in the west. RDR was set in the dying days of the true "wild west".
I also hope there's a more neutral character. In RDR, I felt like John had no reason to be evil. He was trying to turn his life around for the better. He had a wife and kids, wanted to be a rancher, why would he ever rob a bank or shoot a shit ton of lawmen? I guess that stuff could've been included for Jack, but even he should know better.
