You know in Toy Story 3 when Mr Potato Head puts his face bits on a tortilla and escapes? Really bothers me. Where is Mr Potato Head's consciousness located? Is he an assortment of bits? A swarm? Is he incorporeal? And the face bits are just the ritual objects which summon him into a host shell?
What if we pressed his face bits into a person? Does he possess them?

Ok here's how it works. Face bits work only when placed on potato toy body, if they are removed from the body then they work for some time and then lose connection with body, body is the host, if everything removed from the body then potato stays in the state of clinical death.

Since he can still use senses when the bits are separated from the main body and even when they are far away from the other parts, I take it his main consciousness is quantum entangled somewhere and the bits just works as conduits to the real world.
