Marian looks way too sexualized. The women with whips are way too sexualized. Later in the game, there's King of Fighter character knock offs with way too revealing clothing. Never thought I would have to see so many tits in a Double Dragon game.

the bosses and mini bosses are unnecessarily difficult. You need infinite magic or something to deal with those enemies who are too mobile and too tanky. Wish there was an easy mode. The final boss was tedious because too much HP and no way to safely hit him and he goes invincible too much or has some bullshit AoE high damage ability . Ducking mechanic is a dodge instead of a crouch.

First double dragon boss was Willy, his backstory is actually silly as fuck, since DD was pretty much inspired from hokuto no ken, it revolves around the earth after a nuclear war, and Willy being the leader of a biker gang before said war.
The 2nd one iirc is a fight against shadow characters of your own, in the nes version however if you're playing on the hardest difficulty you get to battle an extra boss called the shadow master and get to ressurrect marian if you win
