Sonic Team is working on two Sonic titles for this year. I'm a debugger with the Unleashed Team. I can share the following about the game my team is currently working on
> Fully 3D, no 2D or 2.5D sections
>Majority of the stages you control over sonic like he did in the adventure titles
>There is boost, but used mainly in long-stretches
>Crush 40 is starting to compose for the game. Although Johnny did recently break contract with his post on FB.
Concerning the game in development by the Colors Team, it will be 2.5D with a classic sonic closer to that of his Sonic 3 counterpart.

Are there slope physics? Real physics? Like, are there sloping environments that encourage using the actual terrain in order to gain speed?

Yea, you will need the terrain around you to gain speed. Relies on momentum, which is why we've made many changes to how the homing attack works. You'll need a certain speed after jumping to be able to perform it.

Real talk though, I really do want a new 3D Sonic game on PS4/XBone.
I want another fun game like Unleashed (day stages) and Generations. Those were really fucking good and I feel like Sonic Team actually had something going there before they fucked it all up by releasing that awkward Wii U game and allowing Sonic Boom to exist.

Thought you were supposed to be a debugger. You don't get to make changes, you're a glorified playtester. You get to ask nicely 'can I fix this problem?', then you get told no and the bugs stay in.
