This is the worst part. I fucking LOVED battle factory in emerald. I'd estimate that at least half my time playing the game was devoted to experimenting with new teams and Pokemon I had never used before. BF was how I learned about how cool Cradily is.

I honestly think most of the character desgins were a sucess. Hoenn's big problem is that you don't really interact with any of the gym leaders outside of their gym battle. So, their design and initial dialogue is all you have to give a lasting impression. I think the OR/AS designs add personality for the most part (nobody got seven belts, but they all seem to add a little bit), except for gym leaders with absolutely no personality like Winona and Glacia.

I think I may be the first to say it(or the first one that I know of), but B2/W2 and Gen V as a whole is the pinnacle of Pokemon. Everything after that just hasn't been as good. Music hasn't been as good, story DEFINITELY hasn't been as good and (being biased here but fuck everything at this point) the atmosphere is far better. I would rather have urbanized cities and natural routes getting affected by the urbanization than boring ass water, plain generic foresty shit and natural paths with a turn or two. Share completely erases the game's dificulty.
