What's her name, /v/?
Do you know how to dodge offset?
Stalker and the last XCOM were the first games like that in so long.

Just get some consoles then. There are tons of games there that are easy to get into but still offer pretty deep and satisfying gameplay or just some 10-20 hours of pure unobstructed fun at least. Most games praised by mustards are nothing special really, just have bad interface and introduction, those who get over them finally see a decent gameplay and think they finally found the best game ever.
That says a guy who played only on PC for more than half of his life.
I didn't give two shits about Splatoon even though I bought it at launch.
Decided to play on 12/31 and fell in love.
>mfw playing a game that's NOT open-world for once
Once you get the hang of all the insane machanice, this game becomes awesome.

That lasted until like the seventh generation, most of the First-Party stuff this gen is hit-or-miss, or casual third-party stuff.

Took me a few tries to get into Deus Ex, but when you finally get used to it. It becomes objectively one of the best games you can play.
>>322366803
well i am a big console fan and have tons of games and systems.
I guess i'm just not into first person shooters much. especially the singleplayer variety.
I do believe that most of the best games ever are Console Games and that Half Life 2 is the most overrated game ever made (HL1 is fine though)
>>322366817
splatoon got a lot better with the updates but the multiplayer limitations in maps and modes still make the game flawed.

I only played Monster Hunter 3 on Wii U and that was like slow and boring. maybe its just the early parts but i couldn't stand it.
Also having to get specific parts for new gear is the opposite of fun, it's a big aspect of Xenoblade X that i dislike.
>>322365012
I'm learning that now, its very counter intuitive to what my fingers want to do, but its fun.

>Also having to get specific parts for new gear is the opposite of fun
That's one of MH's biggest draws
>it's a big aspect of Xenoblade X that I dislike
That game is more complex and difficult to get into than MH
>>322367780
hmm i dunno, maybe one day i will try MH3U again, not like its running away or anything.
>>322367780
when I say XCX is more difficult to get into than MH, I mean in terms of shit you need to learn and keep track of. The gameplay of MH is more difficult skill-wise.
>>322367879
Watch Projared's 3-part beginner's guide to Monster Hunter if you need to, the videos were made to explain things that MH3U itself doesn't explain very well.
>>322366881
This looks cool. Can you sell me on it? What's it like/about?
