I bet a woman drew this.

She's probably a fujoshi and listens to Miku songs.

Why does this always cause a shitstorm

On the scale of retarded things that happen in anime's this is probably on the lower end of the spectrum

It seems like the opposite of what a fujo would do to their husbando considering Linkfags are mostly fujos.

That's it. I'm sick of all this "Masterwork Bastard Sword" bullshit that's going on in the d20 system right now. Katanas deserve much better than that. Much, much better than that.

I should know what I'm talking about. I myself commissioned a genuine katana in Japan for 2,400,000 Yen (that's about $20,000) and have been practicing with it for almost 2 years now. I can even cut slabs of solid steel with my katana.

Japanese smiths spend years working on a single katana and fold it up to a million times to produce the finest blades known to mankind.

Katanas are thrice as sharp as European swords and thrice as hard for that matter too. Anything a longsword can cut through, a katana can cut through better. I'm pretty sure a katana could easily bisect a knight wearing full plate with a simple vertical slash.

Ever wonder why medieval Europe never bothered conquering Japan? That's right, they were too scared to fight the disciplined Samurai and their katanas of destruction. Even in World War II, American soldiers targeted the men with the katanas first because their killing power was feared and respected.

So what am I saying? Katanas are simply the best sword that the world has ever seen, and thus, require better stats in the d20 system. Here is the stat block I propose for Katanas:

(One-Handed Exotic Weapon)
1d12 Damage
19-20 x4 Crit
+2 to hit and damage
Counts as Masterwork

(Two-Handed Exotic Weapon)
2d10 Damage
17-20 x4 Crit
+5 to hit and damage
Counts as Masterwork

Now that seems a lot more representative of the cutting power of Katanas in real life, don't you think?

tl;dr = Katanas need to do more damage in d20, see my new stat block.

Yeah nothing new here really. Chainsawd in pso or "do you know tri-edge" chainsaw sword were far better.

But you know random art. It's all about my new favorite dumbass character beating up all the old ones.

That's it. I'm sick of all this "Masterwork Bastard Sword" bullshit that's going on in the d20 system right now. Macuahuitl deserve much better than that. Much, much better than that.

I should know what I'm talking about. I myself commissioned a genuine macuahuitl in Tenochtitlan for two goats and three sacks of cacao beans (that's about $6,000) and have been practicing with it for almost 2 years now. I can even cut slabs of solid steel with my macuahuitl.

Aztec smiths spend weeks working on a single macuahuitl and sharpen the edges up to a dozen times to produce the finest weapons known to mankind.

Macuahuitl are thrice as sharp as European swords and thrice as hard for that matter to. Anything a longsword can cut through, a macuahuitl can cut through better. I'm pretty sure a macuahuitl could easily chop a Spanish conquistador, his horse, and their plate armor in half with a simple vertical slash.

Ever wonder why medieval Europe never bothered conquering Central America? That's right, they were too scared to fight the disciplined Aztecs and their macuahuitl of destruction. Even in the sixteenth century, Spanish explorers targeted the macuahuitl-wielding Aztecs with smallpox-infected blankets first because their killing power was feared and respected.

So what am I saying? Macuahuitl are simply the best swords that the world has ever seen, and thus, require better stats in the d20 system. Here is the stat block I propose for macuahuitl:

(One-Handed Exotic Weapon) 1d12 Damage 19-20 x4 Crit +2 to hit and damage Counts as Masterwork

They're probably the sharpest blades known to man.

Ironically it's probably the lack of metallurgy that led to the creation of obsidian blades.

You keep Miku out of this, motherfucker.
>>
>>322319627
It's essentially a wooden club embedded with obsidian, volcanic glass with an edge hundreds of times sharper than even our most advanced metalworks. The glass itself is incredibly brittle, being the ultimate flaw in this weapon. Aztecs would ride into battle of horseback, and then slice clean through their own horse in a single swing just to inflict pure terror into anyone who would oppose them.
>>
>>322318381
But the Master Sword is indestructible.
>>
>>322319627
The wood part is just a vehicle to transfer obsidian shards (sharper than surgical scalpel) into your opponent.
>>
>>322319931
Not familiar with /tg/ pastas, but this is pretty good nonetheless.

>>322320130
>Brittle sword

Sounds cool in theory, but speaking as an engineer you'd get steamrolled in any real battle.
>>
>>322318381
>Master Sword breaking
Kek.
>>
>>322320282
It's only useful once if the enemy has some sort of metal armor. The glass will slice straight through plate or chain mail, and whatever is underneath it, but it won't be able to do it more than a handful of times because it destroys itself. That's why it's embedded in the wood, to create enough mass and force behind the swing to work. Of course it's not going to cut through armored vehicles, but standard foot soldiers will die if they take a clean hit from a fresh one, no matter how armored.
>>
>>322320282
Only if the enemy sticks around long enough for you cut enough of their friends in half to actually run out of obsidian.

And even then, you still got a decent sized club to bash them with.
>>
>>322320079
What about the spinning pineapple thing with the blades in OOT? The blade will just bounce off if you hit it but if you used a real sword on that thing it would irreversibly chip or even break the sword. Of course all the other swords won't break if you hit the blades of that thing too.

>>322320553

>The glass will slice straight through plate or chain mail

no nigga, obsidian would shatter against even just copper armor, it's more brittle than glass.
