I think its going to suffer massively from a limited playstyle and gameplay mechanics. You have a bow, 3 arrow types and weapons you can pick up if they drop off enemies. There seem to be a few gadgets but they won't change the combat drastically

Story choice and a branching narrative have nothing to do with being an RPG. That's why games like Monster Hunter, Diablo and Dark Souls are considered RPGs, while games like Mass Effect 2 or Telltale games aren't.
