I got a lot of blisters from playing fighting games over the years, although now that I have a stick it's no longer an issue.
Not really an "injury" but when I was younger I used to suffer from very frequent migraines, often set off by playing video games for too long, although they were sometimes caused by other things too. I'd get one of those massive debilitating headaches that makes you see stars and pretty much leaves you unable to move, plus a fever and nausea, and it would get worse and worse for a couple of hours until I threw up. Thankfully those kind of abruptly stopped when I was a teenager.
Obesity, bad back, socializing troubles.
Though I'm more or less sure I would get all that either way.

If I had to guess, cause I had a lot of problems from the 2DS, to the point where I sold it, it's cause of that sliding flat stick. I noticed I was unconsciously putting pressure on it with my thumb while idle (prolly cause it is flat). Add movement in 360 degrees with only the thumb with the pressure being exerted, that's my uneducated guess to wrist issues

I drink a metric fuckton of milk, so my hair and nails grow faster than my goddamn mother and sister's. This bit me in the ass when I was beating Kingdom Hearts 2 on Proud Mode years ago, and I hadn't trimmed the damn nails yet as I got to the section where Sora and Riku have to deflect hundreds of lasers.
Cut into my thumb with one of my nails from the sheer button mashing pressure, enough to draw blood, but I literally shrugged it off and continued like nothing happened until the results screen after the credits.

It gets worse. I had it really bad in my right wrist, I made accommodations, but still typed and gamed a ton. I was cautious and did my wrist exercises often enough, I thought.
Then the pain started going away, and this thing showed up. At first it would pop every few weeks and leave my hand all tingly for a while and go away. Now it's just there. No more pain, though. Not a bad trade, all told.

and was playing about a hundred hours a week, but also using screwdrivers and hammers n shit 10 hours a day, and before that using tongs and shaking fryer baskets. The most damaging things to joints are
1) Impact (hammers, pneumatic tools
2) Pressure (squeezing tools, tongs)
3) Repetitive lifting (15lb fryer baskets)
Sitting in a rested position and pressing buttons isn't that bad if you're not using too much pressure

I was told I had tendonitis two summers ago. I think it might be carpal tunnel because I sometimes get wrist, elbow and pains in the middle of my left arm. It feels okay but if I move my hand a certain way or move it to fast or hit it, or pick up heavy objects the wrist feels really bad.
I have a doctor's appointment scheduled because it is really getting on my nerves. If it is carpal tunnel I will do everything possible to get rid of it. If it's not possible then I will make it possible.

A madcatz xbox 1 (origional) controller split open my fucking thumb because the rubber came off the thumb stick suddenly, and the plastic was sharp as fuck. I looked like I got in a fucking mechete fight and lost.
The madcatz gamecube controller also peeled off a massive portion of flesh from the palm of my hand. It was pussy muscle for over a week and burned like hell.
