Are there any bosses in DSII that can one-shot kill you on NG if you summon enough people?

I don't know why but I feel like bosses in Dark Souls 2 had more health than the ones in DS1, some of them are fucking damage sponges.

the HP didn't chance, just the resistances increased which means he has more effective HP

I was using a greatsword against Fume Knight on NG and each hit was less than half an inch off his health bar. I don't know how some people beat him with weaker albeit faster weapons like a rapier.

I don't think so because I was in Kindergarten and got good enough to beat TMNT.

I think artificial difficulty would be mechanics that you could never improve enough to compete with, like too much hit-scan, one hit kills with almost zero time to respond/dodge, etc.

I never gave much thought or atention to the slash vs thrust vs blunt weapon damage in souls games' weapons.

Do they actually make a difference, like bosses being weaker to one over the other?

He's not really. He's just lazy and boring like most bosses in the game. Once you learn "the tactic" for fighting most humanoids in that game it works for them all. The only thing that makes him different is the timing on the slow energy razor attack.

Am I the only one who found the armor design on pretty much every "Guy in Armor" boss in DaS2 to be just kind of shit? It all blends together into one samey derivative mess. Everything that isn't a complete ripoff and/or literal copy of something from DaS1 is bland and forgettable.

The only one that's even vaguely memorable to me is Smelter Demon, and that's because its armor design is so fucking stupid I can't help but remember.

Literally these games problems are that they do... but unlike King's Field which made you change frequently to stay on top of things this game doesn't.

Literally run Powerstance Maces or Blacksmith Hammers and you will be GOAT against 80% of bosses. You can literally 2-3 shot each Ruin Sentinel with one attack move. Most other bosses go down in 5 hits with the same attack.

the fucking place itself isn't hard at all, its the fact that the skellies will hit you for 50-70% of your hp in one hit and you cant fucking block because you literally NEED to use a lantern in your shield slot or you wont be able to see jack fucking shit.

Because DS2 was directed by a guy who doesn't understand what makes that series so great to begin with, he just tried to mimic what he saw from the Miyazaki games and DS2 was the result, improved in 1 or 2 ways as is normal with iteration but generally just a poor man's imitation.

Not if you go to Lost Izalith or use 30 Humanity in Queen Spider Covenant to open the gate to Lost Izalith from Demon's Ruins. There is a Spider Cap from killing a Spider enemy. Lights that ass up with Shield in tact.

Also cast Light spell.

Agreed. I also felt the same way about Bloodborne's "beast" bosses. They all have this grotesque, decrepit look that is cool for the first 2-3 bosses that use this type of design, but gets tired and repetitive after that.

I think Dark Souls 1 does the boss designs best. While Dark Souls 1 may not have had the toughest bosses, all of them look distinct. You have your knight-like bosses (like O&S and Arty), you have your animal bosses (like Sif), you have your demon bosses (like Asylum Demon), you have your nightmarish bosses (Manus and Nito) and you have your grand fantasy bosses (like Seath, Kalameet and Sanctuary Guardian).

They all look extremely distinct and memorable, even though the bosses themselves are pushovers compared to the Bloodborne bosses.
