A lot of things justify his actions. Vol'jin outright told him he would destroy him the first chance he got, the leader of the tauren challenged him to battle for the right to be warchief and take his head, Sylvanas is untrustworthy, dangerous and basically the lich queen.
He was surrounded by people he couldn't trust and became more paranoid and aggressive because he was boxed in with no way out.
Thrall held the horde together and gave it to garrosh who no one trusted except the orcs.

Different cultures, most of the Alliance consist of humans, who can't all be warriors, while the Orcs are more warlike and so much more of their numbers can fight.
