Devs think that SKYBOXES are like the end all be all. Even though its 2015 there's still this primitive emphasis on skyboxes being jaw dropping because 30 years ago a side scrollers best friend was the back drop.

So we get these completely static, uninteractive levels that look pretty. But they're boring as fuck.

This isn't a "little fucking thing in vidya" to fawn over. This isn't a fucking "technology" greentext. This is the equivalent of saying

It's just a boss mechanic to imply different stages of the fight. Jesus! fuck you dude.

Nope. Different sprites. They just seem the same at quick glance because Samus in Fusion has such a different suit.

The inside of Kaer mohren and the vizima palace in the witcher 3 are almost exactly the same as they were in the first game. Even the little details like herbs over the fireplace, or the paintings were kept.
