Over all things, FE could be a decent experience, but it's not. This boils down to one simple yet incredibly critical flaw that magically turned the whole game into a boring, thoughtless chinkfest: the map design. Every map is the same, every map feels the same, and every map has very little interactivity or a smart design, nor are the objectives within those maps that vary a lot throughout the game. It's either "kill all the bad guys" or "kill all the bad guys while protecting NPC characters", and the latter barely comes up.
