Was with AMD for years on the CPU side of things.
Loved em, they were a great counter to Intel if you wanted a decent CPU that could run games just as well. Now? The CPU portion has gone way downhill and is no longer all that great (All the Intel CPU's that have gone down in price do not help either). Upgraded from a 955BE to a i7-4790k back in August and I have no regrets.
As far as video card goes? Always preferred Nvidia. I have tried ATI/AMD a few times and I think they are OKish. On paper, I like what they do but in practice they have been behind the last few years. I will say that the R7 cards are pretty decent for low cost gaming, the R9's are pretty close to what Nvidia has for its mid range, and I really like the FuryX design, so who knows. I might eventually try another ATI/AMD card.
