Because unlike Japanese devs, they have no honor in their work, and dont treat customers with respect.

Fun fact: offering a tip in Japan is deemed offensive, because they believe one doesnt need extra monetary incentive to do their job properly.
>>
Is there an easy way to explain Overdrive? Every time I read about it it seems a bit complicated, I just try to increase the counter by using Arts that have a different color than the counter.

Also, am I supposed to use those D-Pad tactics? I feel like I'm spamming sometimes, although I often use the tension building and concentrate fire tactics.
>>
>>322123419
Read the manual.
If you don't like it after that, you should sell your game

This is fucking bullshit.
>>
>>322124634
That's the dilemma. I like it but I think the play-style is wrong for me. If it gets really complicated later I'm going to be fucked.

>mastered galaxy knight

Now master the dual swords line to be able to equip dual guns and then finish up with mastermind.

Ghostwalk+Essence exchange + Geolibrium = infinite TP, self healing, limited invulnerability, & infinite overdrive

Skills to look out for are Supreme Sword, Core Crusher, the skill that boosts overdrive length, the skill that halves cooldown of melee combos, and the skill that halves secondary cooldowns.

Equip an ether sword for the 150% damage boost from core crusher. Equip gear that raises your TP to atleast 4000

Every battle will start with ghostwalk (dodge any six attacks) followed by essence exchange (swap hp and tp) then geolibrium (regen HP) You'll have 3000 left to initiate overdrive and then you can spam your attack arts. The three starfall attacks are good and your last two slots can be zerozero and primer for an instant 20 hits to your overdrive count. Green arts followed by orange/yellow arts results in the hits of the attack counting for double.
>>
>>322124638

What the fuck, I save the simius one last and he still got eaten.
>>
>>322123725
Because despite its size the game has the complexity of a typical PS2 game.
>>
>>322122840
As soon as chapter 6 ends
Find the moustache man in the barracks
Complete all 8 missions
Buy the last heavy skell for level 30, the one with the e- scythe
Go to primordia around 19:00 -5:00 at the water bio plant
Head east until you see the imorrtal scorpion bug things that are level 60

Should have a party of 4 skells
>>
>>322128515

I doubt the scythe is as good as the G-buster on the Amdusias
>>
>>322127851
Im guessing you needed to collect the herb first.
he only gives you INFO about the herb
>>
>>322129003
>found intergalactic lvl 20 scythe

I do think G-buster is better from what I've seen some party members randomly kill with it, but the fuel consumption is retarded in comparison
>>
>>322122840
Try not being able to complete Skell license missions because it's asking you to get 15000? revenue or something without explaining how the fuck you do that

what game is this?
>>
>all those fucking fetchquests
>most missions lock party members in until completed
>missions that REQUIRE waiting
>main story quests require otherwise tedious work before being available
>that godawful voice acting for the ma nons
>practically no challenge if you do what the game actually wants you to do and explore beforehand

It's such a mixed bag, the mech combat is fun and feels nice but holy fuck, these concepts clash so much it's ridiculous
Also I dislike the whole "make your own hero" thing, they should've just went with an actual character
The one thing I liked the most about Xenoblade Chronicles was the way the story presented itself, here it just feels lacking
>>322128515
So you get a scythe doing this, did I understand that right?
>>
>>322122840

Complete Ch. 6
There. You should have the License Missions now. Enjoy your Skell. I had 8 more hours than you do when I got mine. I didn't complain because the game provides a narrative where those "endless sidequests" are just a slice of life of what being a BLADE is like. I've enjoyed them for 100+ hours. I'm only now starting to mind them, and thats just because I'm getting rekt while doing them, but insead of complaining about them, I'm just trying to get better instead.
>>
>>322124793
I had a similar situation anon. I bought X on a whim after borrowing Xenoblade Chronicles from a friend and immediately dropping it after the tutorial.

Once you reach Level 10-15, regardless of how far you are in the story, you understand how the game plays out.
>>
>>322134671
oh xenoblade chronicles x. got it.
>>
>>322124638
I already had the herb, gave it to him, beat the gorilla, fast traveled into their base, and snuck around with ease, sucessfully rescuing all 3. Git gud m8. You gonna blame the game because you picked the red wire too?
>>
>>322135931
No, because you were told WELL beforehand that if you ever needed to fix something, always pick the blue wire.

Here you're being punished for no reason.

Technically you were the one being punished. I felt nothing but SEAL Team as fuck successfully extracting the 3 brothers. I take it this means you didn't get the Dad giving you a blowjob as a reward? Those big mouths have a purpose after all it seems.
>>

I will 100% concede this. All it seems you can do is affinity missions or completing missions.

watched a friend play this and it was pretty fucking painful.

>level 20 quest

or my favourite where he was supposed to kill some guys for a story mission out in a desert area, and each time the fight started a big world boss type level 80something aggroed from accros the map and killed his entire party.
>>
>>322137117
>and each time the fight started a big world boss type level 80something aggroed from accros the map and killed his entire party.

That literally just happened to me, they should really make story based fights take place in a sort of "arena"
It's awful

There's no bugs because the game is so railroaded and tightly clamped down that there's nothing for bugs to even pop up in. There's no physics. There's no dynamic items. There's no world props. Hardly any voice acting. Everything to do is a a simple formula of 1 of 3 things.
>>
>>322140262
I completed it because I wanted to feel satisfied. I wanted the game to show me a big 100% that tells me I did it. Unlocking all the weapons, all outfits, all skells, that's useless. I'm satisfied.

You could argue there's still like 150 achievements left, but those are retarded
>>
>>322140302
>railroaded
lel no
And with the number of enemies, amount of terrain, and significant degrees of elevation you'd think there'd be some terrain bugs at least.

Working elevators are also in the game, and devs historically shy away from elevators because they can be buggy as fuck, so usually just use loading screens for them. To get elevators working on gamebryo, Obsidian actually had to make the level move around the elevator in Lonesome Road, rather than the other way around.

It is actually pretty convenient. I've probably dumped 30+ hours exclusively using the gamepad. Its not as convenient as two screens, but its miles from inconvenient.
>>
>>322140003
The gamepad is tragically underutilized. I want to be able to select my arts in battle by touching them but I guess that's too much to ask for.
>>
>>322140143
So you didn't 100% it. Getting 100% is getting ever nook and cranny in the game even when there is no reward for it, not completely the survey rate. Good job though, you completed one part.

Elevators are easy as shit now because of how newer engines can handle collision on moving objects.

And when your only worry is "make a movement system that doesn't make you fall through the world" you don't have a very difficult task at hand.
>>
>>322142954
And moving your hand enough to use the touchscreen while hitting other buttons is somehow less disruptive than hitting b while using the d-pad. Sure.

Ideally all of your bar commands would be assigned to hotkeys like on a computer RPG, but since the gamepad doesn't have enough buttons putting them on the touch screen is the next best thing.

Verus and Inferno are the melee damage-dealers because of the default augs on their (AM Level 5) shop armor. Amdusias is the melee-focused gas guzzler (25k fucking units of the stuff).

>>322139516
how missions work, simplified:
>You and the players in your squad all share a set of five squad tasks
>These are either to gather a material, kill members of a species, or kill a tyrant
>Completing squad tasks unlocks squad missions which can be initated from the terminal in your barracks (you can also quick-join rooms that open from anywhere in the world by pressing "-" when prompted)
>beating a squad mission locks it off for everyone else
>all of this shit gets you squad tickets which can be used to buy monster material drops, fast-tracking augment crafting
Although frankly squad missions are a joke and propose no challenge whatsoever, which is a shame.
>>
>>322123419
It's like Kingdom Hearts but it presses square for you and you only focus on spells and positioning and comboing the spells together.
