I like how in TFA, Finn takes off his helmet in panic and is almost immediately chewed out for TAKING HIS HELMET OFF WITHOUT PERMISSION by his superior right after DICE releases a game where you have an option to not have a helmet.

oh no it's worse than that. At least in BF4 you can be a pilot who has pilot-esque perks to make you feel like a pilot and hop into an aircraft or a tank that's actually physically sitting somewhere and be a genuine pilot who gives his team a better advantage since him being in a vehicle is more advantageous.
In Battlefront you see a TIE fighter 5 minutes after all the stormtroopers run into battle and one of them is on a killstreak.

EA isn't ActiBlizz. They're not effective at catering to audiences. You can argue which games are better/less shit, but ActiBlizz is hands down the GOAT at jewing and effectively grasping a hold on audiences and niches.
