Some games. Code Name STEAM lets you use Fire Emblem Amiibo to unlock the characters as playable in it, for example. Hyrule Warriors gives Link a new weapon, which is essentially a whole extra moveset, if you scan either his or Toon Link's amiibo. That's about it though for anything of note.
