About 2 and a half hours into pic related. The graphics and sound are nice, but everything else seems somewhat mediocre.
When does this game get good, /v/?
>>322061221
the trial.
>>322061368
He's two and a half hours into the game so he's probably past that
>>322061221
>When does this game get good, /v/?
When you turn on the console.
You just have shit taste.
>>322061221
Have you gotten to 600 AD yet?
>>322061221
Like two hours ago. You're just a pleb shit.
>>322061221
It's good until The End of Time.
Then it's boring until Magus' Castle.
OP here, I'm in the future, I had just beaten that big robot guy and caught that rat.
>>322061686
How did you not fall in love with the game after hearing Wind Scene?
>>322061221
Its not going to really blow you away with the story or mechanics. Its a game that does everything very well, but few things great. It still holds up because of the aesthetics and music, coupled with solid RPG mechanics, but it has aged in alot of ways.
>>322061857
At least it has a badass frog and a cool robot as party characters.
Nowadays all you get are little girls in revealing outifts.
>>322061805
I do love wind scene, but it's not enough to make me love the entire game. Maybe it's the way it sounds in the DS version.
>>322062217
>little girls in revealing outfits
What a time to be alive, senpai. If only the games had better mechanics.
>>322061221
Would you guys say this game can be classified as "weeb?" I've always wanted to play it but can't stand weebshit.
>>322062558
Someone lied and you're a gullible faggot.
>>322062558
very weeb
lots of cute girls and anime asspull bullshit
>>322062558
Yes
Everything made in Japan is weebshit
MGS is weebshit
Bloodbourne is weebshit
Mario/Kirby/Pokemon are weebshits
>>322062558
You are easily influenced. I suggest you quit the Internet altogether and get an opinion before coming back.
I'm with you OP, I thought the game was just OK
It never gets better. Chrono Trigger is only good with nostalgia goggles on.
Once you getChrono's Luminaire this game gets way too easy, at least from what I remember.
>>322063153
I played it for the first time in 2008 and it's probably my favorite game, senpai.
>>322062716
>>322062752
>>322062897
>being this triggered
It took me until the dinosaur age to really get hooked.
>>322061221
this games low point is the age of antiquity and prehistory isnt great
600ad and future are fucking golden thou
>>322063387
What age of antiquity, Zeal?
>>322063369
Really? The dinosaur age kinda made me lose interest for a while but I got back into it when I got to the Dark Ages.
>>322063457
yeah mostly because the air dolton arc is utterly pointless scripted padding.
>>322063683
If you mean that section where they take away your items I completely agree with you. Everything else is great though.
>>322063387
>hating Zeal
I can give you the Blackbird, but Zeal in entirety? Fuck you.

>>322062348
the SNES and DS soundtracks are literally identicalaren't they?
>>322064224
DS is cleaner actually.
The game gets better once you have a more diverse set of characters you can select from in your party I feel
>>322064224
yes
the ds adds a pointless area set in its own time zone because square enix is devoid of any creativity anymore.
you train a monster and do fetch quests
>>322062558
>can't stand weebshit.
>on 4chan
>>322064534
Way to fucking not mention the actually new hand crafted story dungeon (Dimensional Vortex) which ties into Chrono Cross, faggot.
Lost Sanctum is there purely for faster grinding so people don't have to spend forever getting to lvl99.
The real extra dungeons are the 4 Dimesional Vortexes.
/end thread
>>322064753
those are extras?
they are like 5 mins long with a recolored boss at the end. it does not add anything of value to the game.
>>322065192
>doesn't add anything of value to the game
>More backstory to Crono, Lucca and Marle
>Connects Dalton to Porre takeover and eventual theft of Masamune and assassination of Crono by Dalton
>Shows the very inception of Dream Devourer and Schala's absorbtion by Lavos
>Shows how Magus lost his memory
>doesn't add anything of value
