I really loved playing Fallout 3 since it was my first and I felt New Vegas only improved on everything.
I even want back and played 1 and 2 then went back and played 3 and New Vegas several times.
I was really disappointing in Fallout 4 and I got bored like half way through my first play through. It felt more like Skyrim than Fallout and it sucked to see that. The game was really repetitive and it felt below average. Like a 4/10 and I was hyping the game up.

There were a lot of things that made Fallout 4 feel like a step backwards to be honest
>Gutted dialogue system, removed all of the awesome skill/SPECIAL checks
>Removal of skills and traits, replaced by a decent perk tree that was way too tied to SPECIAL levels meaning you felt bland and without specialization and were forced to pick a bunch of Intense Training equivalents to get a decent character
>SEVERELY limited weapons and armor options, likely to make up for the crafting system that was also incredibly limited
>Boring legendary weapons/armor that led to boring unique weapons/armor because they were just legendary with maybe a visual tweak
>Settlements that missed the point of player housing (a nice place to store your shit, have access to some bonuses like crafting benches and maybe decide on some buffs), instead get bombarded with a dozen of them that constantly need attention and a clunky settler assignment system
>Basically get no benefit from having more than one unless you get the perk that lets you trade (should've been by default) and so you can stockpile resources and make some caps
>Absolutely awful scrapping system that forces you to meticulously look over junk while exploring and carry it around until you can dump it back at a settlement - no way to scrap as you go or even store just as scrap
This game really REALLY needs a huge mod overhaul, but I'm worried it's just too shit at the core to ever accommodate something that makes it playable. Has anyone even started on something like a Project Nevada for this?

The mission is long as fuck too. It didn't feel epic, or important. It felt like fucking filler. I get that they were trying to make it more epic, because it's the end of the game, but fuck me.
The piece of shit actually got stuck for me. He put 1 foot on top of a gate, and magically got stuck in the air. He kept walking back and forth for at least 10 fucking minutes.
