Loved when Days of Old kicked in during this side mission type thing when you fight those giant gator guys as Jack w/ Baron and Matilda.
It's more enjoyable if you approach it as a sequel to MadWorld than as a typical Platinum game. It wasn't my favorite game that year, but considering it was a budget title on release, I enjoyed it enough.
Online was a blast, but unfortunately it died out in three (!!!) weeks. Still one of my favorite online experiences. Shit was fucking CUHRAYZEE

That's why I even stoped waiting ten minutes for a match. It was only fun when players just mashed everything and tried different things out. Because otherwise game became "who gets hit first" which really spoiled all the brawling fun.

This is why I was disappointed when it became obvious they weren't ever going to try patching the online for balance adjustments. Touch of death combos are boring to do and boring to use on people. Not surprising that people were quick to drop the game because of stuff like that.

I don't think it's a horrible game, but it was a horrible disappointment after Madworld. How can this game be a sequel, or even a spiritual successor to Madworld and not even feature red blood?

Eh, maybe it was a japan's rating issue or something. I remember the game had blood and gore back in it's pre release footage. Not really sure if they ever gave a reason for taking it out eventually though.
