It's colorful busy work with a chatroom. So it's kinda like school except you don't have to deal with the reality of actually interacting with the human body.

I have a guild. I can randomly find five guys to do anything in under a few seconds. I can randomly talk in map chat for a bit and find a new friend without problem.
It's an escape. Sure, I think the actual game play is good, but that can only go so far.

I can understand playing your "first" MMO. There's all this mysticism and idealism around the idea. You think it's going to be something great, and you can suck yourself in them for a long time because you still sort of believe they're good games.
