PSP is olev. Got so many games for it, and not just jrpgs either. Lately I've been digging the fuck out of the Brandish remake. It's the one "fill in the map squares" game I actually desire to do so.
MHFU and Split/Second.
I recently got a hacked PSP, but I think something happened to it because it says the version is incompatible anytime I try to launch something from the card. I'm probably going to have to redo the hack unfortunately.
I'n pretty excited to play Jeanne D'Arc and Trails in the Sky. I'll monitor this thread for other recommendations.

I suppose, but I never picked up Unite and went straight from Freedom 2 to 3U, which isn't a PSP game. But yeah if people are looking for PSP Monster Huntan' then Unite is the way to go. For that matter, people should skip PS Portable 2 and go straight for Inifinity since it even includes 2's story mode.

I could never get into it despite loving Unite for some reason, but Portable 3rd is pretty sweet too. It's may even be better since the hitboxes aren't nearly as fucked. It doesn't have as much content as Unite but it's definitely worth checking out.

I never really paid attention to phantasy star but wasn't infinity japan-only? Did they translate it or something? I only played 2 a long time ago but Infinity might be a good excuse for me to give the game another shot

I went into this game fully expecting to hate it, but I actually had a lot of fun with it and 100%'d it because I'm retarded.
The fan-translation is awful but it gets the job done, and the game itself was pretty great. I think I liked it almost as much as the main Trails series and Ys.Someone post the spider boss webm.

Yeah Infinity is jp-only because Sega West blows. It's really easy to get into though, especially since you have some experience with 2. Gameplay is about the same yet better because your base stats aren't shit anymore, among other changes.
There's a really good guide out there which translates just about everything you'll need to know, and there is a fan patch in beta right now too.
