Her SL and Bike skills suck too (gets proper end-game ice spells, and light spells). Her unique skill is expensive as shit.
Kanji meanwhile gets Regenerate 3 and Power Charge from SL, and his unique skill has a high chance of knocking enemies down just because.

Yu, Kanji, Yukiko, Naoto
Kanji is the physical monster and his unique skill can inflict knockdown to pretty much anything at random (with no negative effect if it fails) Yukiko is for magic since her unique skill is the strongest fire spell. Naoto fills in gaps by hitting any elemental weakness and having cheap megidoloan. At least in Golden.
If not Naoto, I consider Yosuke since Takehaya Susanoo is pretty well balanced and his unique skill is useful.
Kanji does anything Chie does and better, Teddie is outclassed by Yukiko, and his unique skill is absolute garbage.

I used Chie, Kanji and Yu as physical attackers.
I got Gods Hand like twenty levels before Chie and I shrekd most of the game easily.
Teddie is good because be brings some physically offensive buffs but for most of the game Yukiko is alright, if only to exploit wire weaknesses.

Jack of Blades from Fable 1 is the first thing that popped into mind for me.
I was a teenager when Fable 1 came out, I fell in love with this game and spent, I don't even know how many hours and playthroughs of this game. But there was one thing that irked me, the lackluster final boss fight. All you had to do was spam lighting and run circles around him and he died in less than a minute.

I was in the same boat. For what it's worth, Fable was actually an unfinished game, and The Lost Chapters expands upon it a bunch and has a different final fight against Jack.

Aldia's one of the easiest bosses in the whole game. I was super disappointed when I got to him because I enjoyed all of his encounters and I was expecting something really challenging. Instead I got Low Tracking Magic: The Boss
