hey guys i just got done playing monster hunter 4 ultimate and i gotta say i fucking loved it, the tutorial your taking down this big ass sand demon whale and not only that, the graphics are really good and dont forget about the monster designs and the scenery and i also loved all the armor sets, the weapons and the designs. the only downfall of the game is that the text room in the online hall should be a little bit bigger because we could only say one line before we would run out of characters, i know im ranting alot about this but come on this is a really recommended game and i hope you enjoy it as much as me

I'm about to start playing this from a new save file again, even though I put like 50 hours into my first file.
I just haven't played it recently enough to jump back in.
I had such a flow going with duplicating items and hunting for crafting materials that I will never get back. Also I don't like the female versions of the armor as much as I had thought. Game is fun enough to redo.
It took me until this release to pick up Monster Hunter and I regret never playing it before.

I don't really have people to play with so playing with randoms gets pretty tedious after a while.
I was trying to get some Brach Gems to finish my armor, but that made it worse because the drop rate is retarded low.
I also spent way too much time before G Rank making armor. I made like 3 low level armor sets not realizing that they would be obsolete in a few missions.
I really wish I had some irl friends that played MH.

brach gems are literally the worst to get and i spent like a whole week trying to get Kushala Daora's G-Rank armor, it come with +2 Evasion, some sort of skill that increases the amount of health you gain from potions and something else, i cant remember but it also has 125 defense each piece and you need a crap load of gems, i think it was

How the fuck do you get a Gypceros head in low rank? I've tried hammering him, I've tried crit drawing him with GS, I've tried bowing, gunning, fucking everything, but he NEVER keeps his head still enough. I haven't been able to break his damn head whatsoever, and I've killed about 80 of the fucking things so far. No fucking head.

You can do some real fun things with Super Rapid if you have the right ammo and skills.
Like fire 100+ Normal 2 shots over the span of 15 seconds at the cost of 10 from your inventory.

Hunting Horn tips please
I want to be nice online and buff people but I'm finding it hard to make the combos. Like it takes to long and then I have to sheath for some reason, making me play a white note when I take it back out messing up the combo. My teammates will be poisoned and by the time I play the antidote the poison will have already been gone. And I also have to sometimes stop to play my self improvement which makes me fall behind.

Don't bother with Healing Hunting Horns anon. You're much better off just dropping a Steam bomb or chugging a life powder. Hunting horns should share the head alongside hammer and Charge Blade. It may inflict the least stun damage, but it is the Exhaust king with the forward X+A attack. Just be careful when using it as you may send other hunters flying.

Its situational at best seeing as only certain monsters will poison you, and as you said your friends would probably be poisoned once you finish playing your song.
For the most part, horn users are there to help by making the monster die faster, not by helping the party live longer. So you'll usually have to look out for songs that buff attack, give HG earplugs, unlimited stamina, or Wind Res Hi.

My other lbg set features the rathalos gun and completely outperforms the steve gun while also being more versatile.
