Between the repetitive areas, the motion controls, and it being the worst looking 3D Zelda to date, I just couldn't stay interested.

It could be done if Nintendo considers what they've done in previous 3D Zelda games that arent Skyward Sword:
>OoT has child/adult Link
>Majora's Mask has the transformations (and masks with lesser effects)
>Wind Waker has boat
>Twilight Princess has Wolf
And make one that is more meaningful to use, but it all depends on how the dungeons are designed. Ocarina of Time's Spirit Temple was kinda cool how you needed to go back in time and go in before being able to actually go into it (or something like that) and it's good that you didn't have to travel back and forth from the temple of time too many times.
Basically the gimmick has to be something cool, used intelligently in dungeons and areas, and doesn't get tiring.

I love Zelda's dungeon design, but so often they feel just on the cusp of greatness. Just short of true complexity. Like you see how the puzzle theme of a dungeon starts to ramp up as you go further in and halts just short of the point it would be too much for children or the mass market to handle. Dying to play a game with truly diabolical puzzle dungeons.
