Is it worth buying the Director's Cut of Human Revolution if I already have the regular edition? I take it there's no way to merely upgrade, but the game is 75% off at 5.49 which is about what I'd expect the upgrade to cost anyway.
It'll be my first time playing through, I'm playing through the series and I'm on Invisible Bore now.

You're limiting yourself because of minmax instincts. It's plenty fun to do stuff other than stealth and I don't need EXP to motivate me to do it.

That's 100% true though. You can not turn that off, nor any of the other DLC's at that like you can with the first release.
The only boon here is the slightly redone bossfights so stealth don't have to use the given explosive charges if they rather not, and Missing link is part of the game.
The rest of those issues show that it's a lazy ass redux and the fact that they never fixed it after the fact says a lot. The way you're defending it pretty much comes off more as a marketer then a consumer as well.
