>he's somehow even more boring than even Altair
>about as clueless as Connor
What went wrong?

Ubi has been incapable of making somebody as likeable as Ezio. I think the reason Ezio and Altair were so well received was because the jump between their stories were so drastic.
Ubisoft needs a big departure from the classical europe tone the games have been stuck with. Let's have a game set in feudal Japan or revolutionary Russia or something.

i really like jacob frye actually he's got some great cheeky one-liners, even though he has 0 depth

>Always want to play AC game
>every year I wait 2 more games are added to that list
French.
>>321835287
Just try AC1 through brotherhood, after that it goes downhill.
>>321835327
He doesn't even sound French. Adding "mon ami" every other line isn't enough, Ubi

>playing kiddie games
>>321834423
The series has always been shit. From the first game to its most recent incarnation.
>>321834423
Unity was garbage though so not sure why you are complaining about the character.
>>321835080
I don't really like Ezio that much. He stayed for one game too overwelcomed and was overrated imo.
I really liked Haytham more and they should've had a teenager arc for him.
>>321835327
I didn't know the French had English accents
across a bunch of random boards and sites im suddenly seeing lots of unity threads while it's on sale
>>321834423
I still felt bad for him though.
>All those mental gymnastics when he found out the love of his life c.ucked him when she was traveling alone
>>321835674
III should have been about Haytham, full stop. Conor was as dull as a doorknob.
I would have preferred a more Haythamesque protag in Syndicate over the cockney-scallywag-cockgobling-twins of mischief.

Connor had the greatest potential of any AC protagonist, but they criminally misused him in the end.
Guy should have been his own man, fuck the American revolution. Instead he's participating in the boston tea party and shit.

It's a good game desu
The technical side of things is just fucking trash.
It's my 3rd favorite after 2 and Brotherhood, and Black Flag is after it.
>>321836020
>Rogue's marketing mentions it as being a part of Haytham's story
>He's literally just another side character/cameo like AC3
I'm so pissed off. Ubi really wasted a good opportunity on focusing on a character who was Templar for once.
>>321835757
it's still $40 on steam, I'm playing it on ps4 since no games anyway.
