I'd love a co-op campaign but realised that it would be hard to implement since battles would have to happen in real time(as in, in-game time goes on and doesn't stop when you fight like in the first M&B) because when one person fights, the other would still be able to move around the map so it doesn't make sense if everything is frozen for the duration of the fight

I still play Mount and Blade Classic on my toaster laptop, have PoP, SoD, SWC, Radiant Cross and 1866 installed.
Haven't finished a single one (although I just started end game on PoP) and have got 687 hours logged on it.
Hell I even went to their site and with my product key I downloaded an earlier version of M&B so I could play dead mod called Hegemony 286 bc, I've been thinking of modding that mod to work with version 1.011 or simply importing some textures and armors into another mod but not sure how that whole thing works, probably too big for me to do alone.

yeah i get it. i just don't see why they couldn't add in a way for your bros to just play a named NPC in your party for battles and such though. it isn't much but i know a couple people who love to play the game and just want to go through one together. not to mention it could be fun to have one person ordering cavalry around, other on infantry etc.

yeah, we messed with that one before and it was clunky but worked. something like that without all the menu swapping and setting up multiplayer lobbies for every battle would be all i'd ask for, but i have a feeling they won't do it because everyone else wants a lot more out of it, like every player running a kingdom and what not.

I played a lot of singleplayer but multiplayer has always been the focus for me. Fighting a skilled player is insane. Napoleonic line battles are great. Persistent World is a fucking amazing mod.

Seems ok now, glad the DL cap on Google Drive kept me from touching it while all the weird game breaking bugs were still there. The new font being incompatible with Macs is sort of funny though.
I sort of like the map shuffle so far, seems like it'll be harder for one faction to start steamrolling everyone. Laria at least probably won't be as free as it once was now that it's not entirely sandwiched between Jatu and Noldor army spawns. The general troop rework seems ok, it gives more recruitment options now that many units having their levels lowered and makes building a field worthy army quicker but it seems weird that they've given Ravenstern top tier infantry when they already have the best archers. One thing I don't like is that ever since 3.5~ or so most minor faction army spawns generally get slaughtered due to the overall boost faction troops and lords have received, you basically need luck to find them before they're gangbanged off the map, but they got buffed too so maybe it'll be alright.
