OP here, I've played about 50 hours of Rocket League. It's pretty fun and a good, but it making it within everyone's top 3 games of 2015 is absurd. It's a party game with no depth, innovation, or even a mastery of a previous genre. It's good for 10 minutes at a time and nothing more.

I used to be a top 20 player in the PS3 version of Rocket League.
I played Rocket league then for about 2 months. Figured I'd want to play some old PS3 SARPBC and noticed holy fuck, Rocket League is completely casualized. Everything s easier, and now that I am used to it I cannot even play the PS3 thing anymore.
Explains how so many people good so good so fast. It's literally easy as fuck and there are not many options in rocket league because too big fields and too slow turning cars. Makes reactions useless.

I used to be really good and stopped playing but I randomly picked it back up and now I can't even hit the ball, everybody on the opposite team is always half a second ahead of my strategies/reactions while my teammates enjoy smacking the ball towards our own net
