It's the most satisfyingly violent game I have played in years. It's not violence as a spectacle or as satire; what GTA does. It's just a pure survival rush. I double dipped on the PS4 version as well so I can play survival mode unhindered. It's just so fucking good. People thought this game was gonna be all about the little girl but Joel is the shit. One of the best game protagonists ever.

Revelations 2 was somewhat inspired by the last of us with the crafting, emphasis on stealth, and two character system. Barry even has the same backpack as joel.

Game was pretty good. Gunplay felt meaty and satisfying, graphics were pretty fantastic for PS3, performances were decent, and the feeling of being on top of the world with shitloads of health kits and ammo to scrounging for everything with 0 health kits all over again made for a pretty good dynamic.
I think people here hate it because it was given 10/10s and Game of the Generation awards when it definitely didn't deserve them. It's a solid 8/10 for what it does, but I'm not going to be replaying it anytime soon.
