You can try to copy artstyle, sure, but even if you'll practice daily and copy every work of that author, it will still be off from original when you try to create something on your own using that artstyle.
If you didn't notice the difference, that's probably cause you either not look hard enough, or not too familiar with Harada stuff.

It's about finding right balance of proportions mostly. Different type of complexity.
Anime style or drawings are nothing much different of any other styles or drawings, so they are equally as complex.
Just lack of details due heavy stylizations makes that complexity more subtle.
