This isn't just me, is it? I play both versions of OoT anually, switching between the 3DS and original, but the Wii U VC Version looks strangely nicer.
It's being rendered in 720p, retard.

Yeah that looks good.
QUESTION! That for some reason has gone over my head completely for the past year.
Does the Wii U version still have the issues that the virtual console version has? The white lines at seams, the occasional missing auto-jump detection (notably in parts of Death Mountain), and inaccurate feel to the controls?
Or is it a better emulator?
I used to think it was just the game, until I injected the ROM from every version of Ocarina of Time I could find from Wiiso.com and it was still the same.

Remember the golden rule, if you have nothing nice to say, shut up.
>>321706520
The aiming is particularly difficult with the Wii U's Analog Stick, but after you get used to that, I haven't really noticed any issues.
>>321706520
No white lines here.
>>321706843
Thanks bro!
I have no idea why I didn't think to download the game sooner.

Praise the Lord!
One more questionarooney. I assume you haven't beaten the game though so you probably won't be able to answer it.
Does Bonooru's encore of your song at the end still happen if you beat the game without dieing? Or is that still out like in every version except the N64? I assume that's the case.
>>321707626
I always beat the game without dying and I have only ever heard that on what I believe was the GameCube Port. Sorry, Anon.
>>321706621
Fuck off. This is 4chan, not your elementary school.
Still no white lines, I remember them appearing a lot in the Fishing Hole.

Why is Wii U VC so dark anyway?
>>321708214
This is not your safe space.
>>321707959
Every port of the game lacks the Scarecrow's encore. Gamecube, VC, 3DS.
>>321708485
Beats me, but it looks fine on my TV, I have my Plasma set to "Vivid" so everything looks a lot more vibrant, but not too oversaturated.
>>321708745
Why is that?

okay edgelord
>>321708485
I heard it's to lower the risk of seizures. I don't think Nintendo ever said anything about it so I don't know for sure.
>>321708054
Post an example of the white lines
>>321708894
It's unknown, but presumably it has to do with the N64's sound chip to emulate those sounds based on what you recorded (It's like 30 notes long and has to account for your speed and octave/pitch too). I don't know anything about technology so take this with a grain of salt, but I couldn't imagine it's anything else.
Additionally, I don't know for certain if this applies to the Taiwanese release of OoT3D since that wasn't released until a year later, and it was the first time Ocarina of Time ever saw a release there. But it probably applies.

See to the right of the door? Those woukd appear everywhere on the vertices(?) of Models in the environments.
>>321710559
So seams caused by the camera clipping into the environment?
>>321710559
NOOOOOO. They're back! Oh well, at least it's not as bad.
>>321711016
No. Seams where-ever one texture meets another in a particular way. I don't really think the example he posted is one because it's jaggy. The white lines are long straight lines or bars that appear anywhere that there's that particular intersection between two textures, like a plate tectonic fissure. It has nothing to do with the camera. I just spent 10 minutes looking for an intro for the Wii version on youtube but couldn't find it. You know which version it is because white lines flash around and get worse and worse until the end (there's a particularly thick one over the tunnel into Kokiri Forest that you can see, even as the camera zooms cinematically closer and closer). Suffice to say, it's jarring.

Look at the roof.
>>321712341
I think that's a resolution problem, I remember PJ64 having that issue.
>>321713220
That and the door are the only times I've seen it so far.
>>321712341
>>321713818
If it was the seams issue it would be everywhere though.
Also, stick around OP. I'm making my own OoT thread that you'll like.

Ocarina of Time 3D fucked up the lighting of the final boss battle.
