Explore by foot as much as you can. Save main missions for as long as you feel like because there is no real time limit. But they do not scale levels.
Waiting for a mech to explore the northern areas can ruin their impact so be sure to check them out.

Leveling up to five right away is a bit expensive. Upgrading arts to at least level three is a good middle ground where it's still cheap while also giving you a taste of what the class is like. Though you can freely change your class whenever you want, so you don't really need to think about it too much.

The class you're currently in as well as your party members to a lesser degree make a big impact on what weapons are dropped. So if you wanted say Photon Sabers, you would switch to Galactic Knight with Doug and Yelv in tow. Also remember to stack Treasure Sensor for higher chances of gold loot

For auto-attacks, swapping weapons does kinda help since you have a cooldown after you do an autoattack with that weapon, and it'll still go down while swapping to another weapon.
Though another thing to keep in mind is the secondary cooldown for arts. When an art's available and you're using the weapon type associated with that art, a green gauge builds up around those arts. When that fills up, it gets the effect it lists for "secondary cooldown" in the description, usually something like +250% damage. So sometimes you want to stay on a specific weapon type to build up those.

If you look on non-completed tiles that arent probe spots you'll see icons that are either a paper (quest), sparkles (field treasure) or a beast (tyrant). Assuming you're talking Chapt. 9 boss here. I had that problem too until I started taking down the other soldiers first. Just target one, command everyone to concentrate fire, then take 'em down one by one.

Assuming you've got at least a level 50 Skell, go to the far north area in Noctilum and grind Joker and the blattas surrounding him inside the giant flower. You'll get to 60 in no time

Its mostly irrelevant except for weapons that have like 99 stability. Stability is a percent of your weapon attack. A weapon with 500 attack and +-99 stability would have an attack range of 5 to 995. Basically very unstable damage output. Most weapons have around 15 stability, and its not really a stat you need to care about.

How the fuck do I beat the final boss? I can't reach the second phase without my skells being completely burnt out. Lowered the difficulty to Lv45 and still can't do jack squat. Haven't seen any guides or helpful hints.

Not even do they shout out the name of the attacks, there is also a "soul voice" system where every 3 seconds someone shouts out a random attack type, and if you use that next you will get healing/damage boost.

In caves in Primordia. They're super rare though so don't expect to find them quickly.
It's pretty hard to find a cave that's not loaded with things that want to kill you, but I worked out a path that avoids all of them yet with a decent farm rate in the cave in the most northern tip of Primordia (Data Probe Site 113).
Just stay on the lowest level and hug the walls in that cave. Jump over the Blattas so they won't aggro, then just fast-travel back to the entrance once you get the 2-3 materials in the water and repeat.
