Which of the Ass Creeds, if any, are good/worth the money?

Which ones should i skip?

All of them

IV and II are generally agreed to be the best games in the series.
>>
>>321665791
Even when they're on sale?
>>
>>321665734
I think 2 still holds up
>>
Play 1, 2, Brotherhood and Revelations if you feel you need closure to Ezio's story. Skip 3, then play Black Flag and never touch the series again.

But wait for better discounts. Ubisoft has been putting low discounts on their games recently.

Steam search has been acting up recently.

Black Flag is the most fun. You can't miss out on that one
>>
They are all garbage, but if you absolutely want to try one of them to see what shit it is, go for Black Flag.
It has the least in common with other games in the series, thus you can get some enjoyment out of it.
>>
>>321666050
Nah, I'd say skip Rev, I found it excruciatingly boring

Thanks man

First post as always gets it.

It's worth is just for the story, really. Ezio best assassin.
>>
2 and black flag and genuinely good games
>>
>>321666050
I enjoyed the Indiana Jones feel of Revelations.
Not sure why people shit so much on AcIII...oh yeah it is because it is boring as balls.

Why people keep suggesting Boston as a location? I am honestly curious.

From best to worst:

AC2, Blag Flag.
Revelations, Rogue
ACIII (Tyranny of King Washington was actually fun), Brotherhood.
AC1, Unity (Because it is an unplayable piece of shit), Syndicate because it is boring as fuck and still rather expensive considering the DLC.

Second this, the story was actually kind of fun.
It feels the game could had been better if sieges had been frequent events post-game, there is nothing to do post game.

When the multiplayer was active Revelations was fun.

Can anyone confirm if AC:Unity shits its pants on Windows 10? I wanted that game for some time then I read it is EVEN buggier on Windows 10, like Bethesda buggy without mods or patches.
>>
Why the fuck are the games before IV only 50 % off?
>>
So which of the games has a connected storyline?

1, 2, Brotherhood and Revelations apparently, but which others?
Are all the others self contained?
Is 3 a bad game?
>>
>>321667437
Dunno, but UBi sales are fucking retarded, their Ubistore sale had awful discounts.

If anything wait for another Humble Bundle if you are not that interested in the games. You can buy better games Mad Max or Sonic Lost World Instead.

III is a mess, but it's an ambitious mess.

I've played them all and I'd suggest not getting them. If you're a relatively casual gamer, 2, 4, and Rogue might be your bag.
>>
>>321665734
Black Flag was great.

Every other AC was meh or worse.
>>
>>321665734
AC I is okay. It's repetitive, but the assassinations are the best, at least out of all the games up to and including Revelations (haven't played the others).
AC 2 and Brotherhood got worse in terms of assassinations, but greatly improved upon everything else. Yes, they're casual as fuck, but you don't play AC for the challenge. Personally, I play it for the city porn, and both games deliver spectacularly in this department. The story is alright as well.
Revelations is ok. City is nice again, but the gameplay is just kind of boring and the characters aren't as interesting as in 2 and Brotherhood.

I still don't regret playing any of them and would gladly play all of them again. Fuck the haters.

The story of the franchise sucks a big bag of dicks.

In that sense Unity and Black Flag are the only games in the series with a somewhat good story. Anything related to Desmond is stupid as hell, but ACII and Revelations are the best parts of that story because Desmond is involved as little a possible, but still a main piece of the story. I say Revelations is underrated.

Black Flag, Unity, Rogue, and Syndicate are self contained.

Syndicate is just a disappointing game, it is all the weaknesses of the series in a single game but at least it does not run like shit like Unity.

ACIII is just boring, except for the Tyranny of King Washington Chapter, that one is cool because Connor gains Super Powers and you battle George Washington on top of a pyramid. It is over the top and it almost redeems the game.
>>
Stopped playing after III.

IV looks like they took the only good thing (the naval fights) from III and centered it around that.

Generally from way back the idea was

>Wikipedia AC1
>Play AC2
>Play AC:B and/or AC:R if you really liked AC2/Ezio

III is just bad.
>>
>>321665734
From the recent ones, Unity is probably the best (no troll) if your system can handle it, if not, Black Flag is good, too. I'd say it's too late for you now to waste time on older titles, they're very much products of their time and barely have unique artistic/gameplay value
>>
I'm having a bit of fun with Syndicate, but I got it for free. I wouldn't buy it even at that price.

Other than that, I can't really comment much on the series. I've played the first one for a while, but got bored with it, so I never finished it, same with 3.

I'm sure the same will happen to Syndicate soon. I think it's a great shame the devs didn't make a co-op mode seeing as the story revolves around two assassins. If it had that, I might have actually enjoyed it enough to complete it.
>>
They're all extremely forgettable games
I would not recommend you play any of them
>>
>>321665734
Black Flag, and that is it.

The others are pretty terrible.
>>
The last I played was IV, and like everyone else liked it more for the ship parts

Did any game ever recreate the level of comfy from II and AC with regards to tombs?
>>
>>321665734
Black flag is well worth that price. The combat kind of sucks but the setting is nice and therea re few pirate games out there.
>>
Black Fucking Flag.
>>
AC 2 was enjoyable
Ac 1 I played when it first came out and I recall enjoying it. But now, likely not so much
AC 4 was amazing. Everyone should play it
>>
>>321667447
III, Black Flag, and Rogue
>>
>>321665734
Black Flag is fine, the sailing is nice if you're into that.

Syndicate was pretty good too, worth a pirate. Im probably biased because I really like victorian era England though. But the gameplay was pretty solid too, and it didn't have as many bugs as Unity (still had a bunch but yeah). The grappling hook thing was a nice touch.
>>
I've played through and enjoyed all the AC games. They're not groundbreaking titles by any means, but they're all fairly fun. I think /v/ just has a hateboner for the series in most cases.
I'd say II is the best to start with - it's got a great atmosphere and the gameplay is a huge leap forward from the first game. The story gets summed up at the start of each entry, so you shouldn't feel lost wherever you start.
IV is probably the best game in that it has the series' formula pretty much nailed from the previous entries - it takes the best elements from the previous titles and fleshes them out. Unity and Syndicate are actually missing quite a few features from IV as a result of engine change, so this is the one to go to for most content alone. When it comes to the plot, the pirate adventure story in this one is pretty good in itself, but this is the point where the modern day stuff stops mattering, so it doesn't exactly give an adequate idea of the end of the world thing the previous games have been leading up to.
>>
So what's the deal with everyone hating AC3?
I thought it was better than 1 and Rev, and on the same level as Brotherhood.
It had a comfy setting (but 1 and 4's are better), and I got pretty connected in Connor's story. I'm kinda mad that he doesn't appear in any of the other games.
