Played this game until about 20 minutes after the opening dungeon and the bugs and framerate drops were just too much to keep playing. It was perhaps the worst performance I've seen in a released game

I have to disagree, pawns are surprisingly smart and adaptable for the most part, the only big complaint was that they constantly talked but the pc version will allow you to disable that, which isn't ideal but is a solution nonetheless

The first re-release was just bundling the Base game with dark arisen, much like how almost every game with dlc has a "game of the year" edition; dragon's dogma on pc has been something many people have been vocally requesting ever since the game's release, capcom is just giving the fanbase what they asked for.
Don't get me wrong, dragon's dogma is a very unrefined game, with a lot of issues and questionable design decisions, but it hasn't been milked, definitely not to the extent of some other capcom titles. And let's face it, there are very few, if any at all, games that are like it, so releasing it across a wider spectrum of platforms is the most logical step to take, and allows more people to enjoy it

I got the game on 360 years ago, and it was fucking horrible.
Then I got it on sale a few days ago, and it's much better. The loading times are very quick, and the game recommends saving often, which the 360 sucked at.
If you enjoyed Thief 1 and 2, Dishonored is very good, but lacking a bit in rewards for nonlethal. The bonecharm upgrade system is interesting, more than I thought it was, and everything apparently carries over to NG+ so I can have fun slaughtering later.
Supposedly the DLC is much better, and I got everything since it was the GOTY edition.

Outside of the classes and a few dungeons/monsters, nearly everything else in this game is either decnt or mediorce. Once I figured out how small the world truly was, it put a hell of a damper on the fun I was initially having.
Love mechanic was pointless and shouldve been scrapped. Crafting is half-assed. World is tiny uninteresting. Characters are dull. Outside of bbi and post game, not a lot of variety of enemies. Cant swim, because i guess there was no time to program that into the game, so you got the most confusing and puzzling excuse ever to keep you dry.
I mean I like the game, I bought it twice, but it not defiantly not without flaws.

I pirated DD on PS3. I pirated Souls on PS3. I bought them both on PC.
PC is the strongest market for most genres right now. Even japs realize this and the big ones port their games over. That's not by coincidence or goodwill. There is a market for these games and it is growing. You spouting memes won't change that.

it has precisely one mountain area that is the most entertaining mountain I've played through in a long time, and it has the hardest enemies before the end of the game. At one point you're staring down a giant troll on a REALLY thin bridge, which was a blast.

The only way I'd buy DD on pc is if we were able to hire our console pawns, and able to run with a team full of my own pawns.
But since that's impossible, I don't feel like starting from absolute 0 all over again.

I'd call it more Souls-lite if anything.
Enemies aren't as brutal, at least until Post Game/BBI.
Stamina isn't as much of a concern.
Combat is pretty similar if not quite as deep.
Much better boss encounters/mechanics though.
If anything else at least give it a try to better inform your own opinion.
