Okay boy's need a sort of consensus here anyone know of a good reasonably priced microphone ($40ish), my headset microphone's dying on me and people have been telling me for years that standalone mics are better.
My money is your hands, until gaben invents steam microphone.

Unless you have a kick ass DJ voice nobody wants to listen to you, no really, nobody cares.

Okay seriously, I'm not OP but I'm interested in getting a stand-alone mic too
StealSeries V2 maybe

Here you go OP.
>>321662918
oh that's pretty badass. assuming it would fit a sony mdrv6...
>>321662750
Bullshit, I had a v2 that had the mic die after 6 months of careful use
Build your own. Better sound quality from the headphones, and better quality from the mic.

It's cheap. V2s are not built to last.
You use it and buy another one when it dies.
>>321663174
You'd think it'd at least last a year.

My friend's V2 lasted a year. Are you sure you were taking care of it well?

I had one of those Creative Fatal1ty headsets for ages, broke a year ago so i got these.
Crystal clear quality and generally really good, but they do have fuck all in the way of bass
>>321663541
Have these too.
They are comfy.
>>321662750
Comfiest headset I have ver used. Right side speaker died on me after 1 year though.

I find they grip my head pretty tight, but because they're fully over ear that's fine. Other ones that have sat on my ears that have been too tight have hurt my ears after a while.
Only problem with over ear headphones is that the apocalypse could be happening outside and I wouldn't be any the wiser because I can't hear shit

Maybe I just have good hearing, but over ear headphones don't work for me. I can still hear loud shit happening quite often.
I can't hear things like my phone going off, but I can hear my mom being loud on the phone.

That HyperX headset I posted proper clamps down over your ears, i've never had it with any other headphones but I can't hear a thing with them on
>>321661074
i have these, they're a pretty decent set, lasted me for a few years

Not for me sadly. I can still hear stuff. always have had that problem.

Why the link?
Turtle Beach x12.
>>321664714
Yes, those are two distinctly different headphones
>>321664864
I bought into the turtle beach meme once.. Don't do it.

No, but whatever.
