>STEAM GOT HACKED ALL YOUR PERSONAL INFO WAS ACQUIRED BY RUSSIAN HACKERS
Can we please stop with the misinformation? It was a cache error, none of your information was at risk.
Is /v/ this dense or are EA shills purposely spreading misinformation?
>>321658615
There is no way it was a "cache error" that isn't how Cache services works. People are talking out of their ass.
>>321658615
>None of your information was at risk
How can you be this retarded and still write?
>>321658892
Then explain how a cache error works if you're so sure that wasn't a cache error.
>>321658892
Here come the EA shills
>>321658615
>none of your information was at risk
This also got cached, autofilled and didn't require login
https://store.steampowered.com/checkout/?purchasetype=updatebillinginfo
>>321658892
I'm a sysadmin and that's in fact how caching error works, cache being delivered to the wrong client
It sounds like now's a good time to use Origin. Any good deals?
>>321659225
that only happened if you tried to buy a game in the hour span where the bug was going on
>>321658615
We should all use Origin!
>>321659382
SHILL ALEEERT
SHILL ALEEEERT
>>321659440
And also if you tried to remove the payment info while it was happening.
>>321659615
yes, but the same people warning about the bug explicitly said not to do that, so it's unlikely people were that idiotic
in any case for every fag who did that mistake there was another fag doing the same mistake and getting your copy instead
hackers didn't have time to organize
>>321658615
>Can we please stop with the misinformation?
>/v/ missing an occasion to shit on steam after it became the most popular online store
>>321659382
>>321658892
>client receiving the wrong cache is not a cache error
Man you guys must be making overtime with all this blatant shilling. I'm glad i'm not the type of idiots to spend all day browsing the steam community, never even logged in that day so it has done fuck all to effect me.
To clarify exactly what happened, if you logged in a day or so ago and went to the community page you got someone else's profile, but could see next to nothing about them (check out your own info next time you log in, unless you have a single email account connected to everything you do they got zero personal information)
Next you'll be telling me all about the joys of Origin, am I right?
>>321659382
I think Battlefront is on sale for like $35.
