Wasn't the slowdown in 360 mode only missing in the NA version of the game? Either way that would be kinda cool. I like the aesthetic of 360 mode but I can't get into it after getting so used to scoring in Arcade mode.

I don't really understand the people who hate games just for having girls in them. My first shmups had lolis in them, and I'm not opposed to trying ship shmups. If Cave would've ported Dodonpachi or Ketsui instead of Mushihimesama and Deathsmiles, I would've bought those too.

Porting from the 360 to PC is super cheap.

One theory of mine is that they wanted to start with Deathsmiles first, but realized they should hold off until they're sure they can do a PC port smoothly. And so they made Mushihimesama and released it, which came with a lot of things that needed to be fixed after release. Now with that experience they're putting the finishing touches on Deathsmiles and making sure what went wrong with Mushi, doesn't go wrong with Deathsmiles.

Cave only did the ports for 360 because Microsoft asked, one of their producers at the time (Makoto Asada) had a good relationship with people at Microsoft. Mushihimesama HD was meant to be the last 360 port, but a producer from Microsoft practically begged Asada to port Saidaioujou.
