I wish I could like the parappa games, like I enjoy a lot of rhythm games but something about this series just doesn't really sit with me gameplay-wise.

Played the first one recently, and while I loved the catchy songs, I thought the gameplay was pretty bad. Instead trying to go for accurate inputs, you're better off mashing every button and rack up loads of points.

Yumi from Ape Escape could be playable and since she has transformations she could play completely different from Spike, even making her use gadgets differently from him.
Monica from Dark Cloud 2 could be playable, I had this idea in my mind that she and Maximilian could be a tag team, and you switch between the two of them.
Fetch from InFAMOUS is my last idea for a character, having a big focus on her neon powers, they can use her attacks when you play as her in first light, and I guess give her some of Delsin's neon moves as well.
Delsin himself would likely just be a mix of all of his powers in the game if he was playable anyway, so having Fetch be completely focused on just one power can show it off more.
