Can someone explain to me the popularity of these simulation games? I've seen everything from farming simulator to car mechanic simulator, why is everyone obsessed with games simulating underclass jobs?
Is it just a European/German thing? If so, why? Who buys and play this, please shed some light on this /v/.

Maybe people play these games because they are too mentally disabled to actually get real jobs so they pretend using these shitty simulators.
Driving forklifts isn't fun after the first week or so, and if people talk about the business aspects of these games, they are way too damn simplified and easy to exploit.

I can tell you that most of these people are the lower class people. I have like 3 friends (1 rl 2 steam) who play these kinda games.
It's relaxing for them, sorta comfy, where they don't need to be ultra engaged and in need of min-maxing unlike other games(not my words here). The rl friend is a scrublord that nobody really likes and only hangs around us because of pity and no one is telling him to fuck off. So generally speaking only stupid or casual people play these in germany. It's not "a german thing"
